A semester long study, Mediterraneus is an investigation to create a new cultural and business center for the Mediterranean in the heart of one of Barcelona’s industrial barrios, Poble Sec.

Mapping of the city’s history over its existing forms revealed opportunities for engagement with the existing community. The heart of the proposed urban campus folds into the existing urban landscape of Jardins de les Tres Xemeneies and its former power plant, blending in new program to generate a vibrant space for the community, cultural and business leaders, and new visitors, alike.
